Peace Is Possible is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that started as a grassroots movement in 2014 to highlight the need for peace over politics.
Each year, since 2014, Peace Is Possible has hosted a World Peace Day celebration known as Peace Day NTX. We invite community leaders, nonprofits, artists and performers throughout the North Texas region to honor the United Nations International day of Peace (September 21st).
In 2017, Peace Is Possible launched the Peace & Conciliation Project. The Project is a city-by-city initiative designed to engage communities in addressing the roots of racism through actionable dialogue and constructive change.
Through the mediums of the art, education and nonviolent direct action, we work together to bridge cultural gaps as a means to further the cause of human rights and plant the seeds of peace.
Peace Is Possible is 100% driven by the power of dedicated volunteers!
Peace Is Possible enjoys the support of
elected officials and peace activists.
Since 2014, Peace Is Possible has organized the annual Peace Day NTX festival. Using music and art to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace, it has become a mechanism to further reach Dallas' young people. It is my hope that my support of their efforts will solidify the City's commitment to the best Dallas we can offer our citizens and future generations.
